VATA PRAKRITI

A person with a vata constitution will be prone to following vataj disease :-

* Disease of respiratory system like bronchitis,asthma,common cold,hoarseness of voice

* various diseases of the eye,ear,nose and throat respectively.

* disese of Digestive system such as problems of indigestion and diarrhea,gas,constipation,problems with the colon

* Diseases like diabetes and,kidney diseases

* Diseases of nervous system such as Parkinson�s syndrome ,various neuritis , epilepsy

* Disease of skeletal system [ bones and joints],arthritis,osteoporosis,lumber spondilosis.cervical spondylosis

* Psychological disorders such as anxiety,nervous,worried fearful,frightened,insomnia,depression

To prevent the occurrence of vataj diseases:-

The individual having a vata constitution should always avoid factors which would aggravate vata. He or she should take to vata-alleviating food, drinks and way of like. Food ingredients which are unctuous and hot are likely to suit such people the most.

Type of Medicine prescribed to these people:-

while administering medicines, a vata constitution patient is to be given medicines which are hot.

Balancing Foods FOR VATA -

Grains � Rice,Wheat,Bajari[Amaranth],Oats,Wild Rice

Vegetables � Asparagus, Beets, Carrots, Cucumber, Green Beans, Leeks, Mustard Greens, Okra, Olives, Onion, Parsnip, Potato, Squash, Watercress, Zucchini. Cooked vegetables are most balancing. Avoid raw vegetables.

Fruit � Apricots, Avocado, Bananas, Berries, Dates, Fresh Figs, Grapefruit, Grapes, Kiwi, Lemons, Mango, Melon, Oranges, Papaya, Peaches, Pineapple, Plums, Strawberries. Sweet fruits are balancing. No dried fruits.

Legumes and Nuts � Peanuts, Black lentils,Adzuki beans, Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Cashews, Flax, Hazelnuts, Mung beans, Pecans, Pine Nuts, Pistachios, Pumpkin, Red lentils, Sesame,Soy cheese, Soy milk, Sunflower,Tofu, Walnuts

Meat � Chicken or Turkey (white meat), Duck, Eggs, Freshwater Fish, Beef (occasionally), Seafood, Shrimp

Herbs, Spices, Condiments � Brown Rice Syrup, Honey, Maple Syrup, Molasses, other sweeteners than White Sugar, Allspice, Almond Extract, Anise, Basil, Bay Leaf, Black Pepper, Caraway, Cardamom, Cayenne, Chamomile, Cinnamon, Cloves, Coriander, Coconut, Cottage Cheese, Cumin, Dill, Fennel, Garlic, Ghee, Ginger, Mustard, Nutmeg, Onion, Oregano, Parsley, Peppermint, Poppy Seeds, Rosemary, Sage, Spearmint, Spirulina, Tamarind, Tarragon, Thyme, Pickles, Salt, Seaweed, Soy Sauce, Turmeric,Vanilla

Dairy � Buttermilk, Cow�s Milk, Cheese, Goat�s Milk, Goat Cheese, Yogurt. All is moderation.


PITTA PRAKRITI

A person with a Pitta constitution will be prone to Pitta ailments

Disease of digestive system such as indigestion, acidity,gastric-peptic ulcers Disease of liver such as and jaundice,gall bladder stone,anaemia endocrine disease (harmonal disease),diseases related to enzymes diseases of eye such as impairment of vision,skin diseases and psychological disturbances.

To prevent the occurrence of pittaj diseases -

cooling things will be most suitable

Medicine while administering medicines,a pitta constitution patient is to be given medicines which are cooling

Balancing Foods FOR PITTA -

Grains � Barley, Cooked Oats, Basmati Rice, White Rice, Wheat, Wheat Bran, Wheat Granola are balancing. Amaranth, Buckwheat, Millet, Oat granola, Quinoa, Brown Rice and Rye are aggravating.

Vegetables � Artichoke, asparagus, bell pepper, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cucumber, celery, green beans, leafy greens, mushrooms, okra, parsley, parsnip, peas, potatoes, squash, sprouts, zucchini. Sweet and bitter vegetables are balancing.

Legumes and Nuts � All beans except black and red lentils are balancing, such as adzuki beans, chickpeas, kidney beans, soy beans, split peas and tofu. Coconut, psyllium, pumpkin and sunflower are balancing. Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Cashews, Chia, Filberts, Flax, Macadamia Nuts, Peanuts, Pecans, Pine Nuts, Pistachios and Sesame are aggravating.
