PLANT NAME IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES
English     : Custard apple, Sugar apple

Malayalam    : Athachakka, Atha, Seetapazham
Distribution – Cultivated in various part of India for fruits. 

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small tree grow up to 8 meters of height. Leaves simple, alternate, lenceolate, acute, with prominent central nerve. Flowers solitary greenish yellow; fruits yellowish green globose with several compartment; fruit pulp enclosed several stony hard, black seeds.  
 
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, constipation, burning sensation, anemia, vomiting, cough, malignancy and general tonic. Root decoction is a powerful purgative. Powdered seed kills body and hair lice on external application.
