PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small thorny spreading shrub grows up to the height of 1 meter. It has many thin and long branches. Leaves are small, hairy; arise from the base of the thorn. Flowers - reddish, arise from the base of the thorn; The gum derived from this plant is known as 'yasa sharkara' (sugar of dhamasa).
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, kapha, inflammation, pain, bleeding piles, vertigo, syncope, constipation, asthma, cough, neck stiffness, skin diseases, fever and general debility.
